Rodrigo Echenique is Managing Partner in the Credit team and has more than 18 years’ experience in public and private debt and equity markets.
Prior to AltamarCAM, Rodrigo was Managing Director at Banco Santander. During the last years in the bank, he was responsible and founding member of the team of Leveraged Finance in the United States with a focus, mainly, on the origination and execution of leveraged operations with Private Equity funds, private debt funds and institutional investors. Previously, he was a member of the global structured finance team at Santander Global Banking & Markets. Rodrigo has led more than 40 operations in the credit market (LBOs, MBOs, dividend recaps, Project Finance, margin loans, mergers and restructurings) for a total value of 30,000 million euro. Prior to joining Banco Santander, Rodrigo was Director of Research and Investmentss in a Venture Capital’s Fund, Möbius Corporate Venture Capital, during which he was also a member of the Board of Directors of portfolio companies in different sectors such as Aeronautics, Software, Computer or Industrial Security. He began his career in the finance division of Grupo Dragados.
Rodrigo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Bentley University (Massachusetts), he finalized the executive development program at IESE and holds a master’s degree in International Trade from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and the Study Center of International Trade.
