José Luis Molina, Managing Partner and Global CEO.
Prior to founding Altamar Capital Partners in 2004, José Luis Molina worked for Lehman Brothers for approximately 10 years, first in New York and subsequently based in London until he became a Partner at Altamar Capital Partners. He was the Senior Vice President at Lehman Brothers, and one of the people responsible in Europe for the origination and execution of direct investments in buyouts on behalf of Lehman Brothers Merchant Banking Fund. Prior to joining the Private Equity team at Lehman Brothers, he worked in the Investment Banking division as a member of the Global Technology Group, specialized in mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and capital raising transactions in the technology sector, first in New York and subsequently in London. Before working at Lehman Brothers, he worked at Credit Lyonnais in their Mergers and Acquisitions department/Iberagentes Bolsa in Madrid between 1991 and 1993.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from CUNEF (Madrid 1985-1990) and completed an MBA with honors from Columbia University (New York 1993-1995). José Luis is a Registered Representative in the Financial Services Authority “FSA” of the United Kingdom in 1997, and as Series 7 and Series 63 Representative of the National Association of Securities Dealers (“NASD”) in New York in 1995.
