Fernando Olaso is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Altamar Real Estate, a role he has held since 2006. He is also Co-Head of Real Assets at AltamarCAM.
Prior to joining Altamar, he was a founding partner at Capital Alianza (1996-2006), a private equity company focusing on the midmarket. He led investments in different sectors and held board seats of several companies. During that period, he was also Head of Corporate Development of Unión Española de Explosivos (today Maxam). He led the internationalisation of the company with numerous investments in different countries (USA, United Kingdom, France, Norway, Russia and Spain). Prior to that, he was part of the Mergers & Acquisitions team at UBS in London (1995-1996).
He holds an MBA with honours from Columbia Business School (New York) and a Bachelor’s degree with honours (Magna Cum Laude) in Business Administration from Boston University.
