Fernando Olaso is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Altamar Real Estate since 2006 and is also Co-Head of Real Assets in AltamarCAM.
Prior to his joining Altamar, he was a Founding Partner at Capital Alianza (1996-2006), a Private Equity company focusing on the midmarket, where he led investments in different sectors and held board seats of several companies. During that period he was also Head of Corporate Development of Unión Española de Explosivos (today Maxam), where he led the internationalization of the company with numerous investments in different countries (USA, United Kingdom, France, Norway, Russia and Spain). Prior to that, he formed part of the Mergers & Acquisitions team at UBS in London (1995-1996)
He holds an MBA with honors from Columbia Business School (New York) and a bachelor’s degree with honors (Magna Cum Laude) in Business Administration from Boston University.
