Jose Epalza is Managing Partner in the Advisory team.
Prior to AltamarCAM, he worked as senior responsible of coverage in Research and Investments Banking for Bank of America Merrill Lynch for over 15 years. José was responsible for the coverage of clients in Spain and Portugal. He has designed, originated and executed a great variety of transactions such as the purchase of Cimpor by Camargo Correa, Mivisa by Blackstone and Alsa and Continental Auto by National Express and the sale of the Handling Business of FCC to Swissport/PAI, Palacios to Proa Capital, WDF to Autogrill, Grupo Guascor to Dresser Rand etc… The mergers of Iberdrola and Iberdrola Renovables, Ferrovial and Cintra, ACS and Dragados and of Metrovacesa and Bami. The defense of Altadis and subsequent purchase by Imperial Tobacco, the takeover of Sacresa by Metrovacesa and defense of Metrovacesa etc. Additionally he possesses ample experiences in IPO’s and the ones of Vocento, Técnicas Reunidas, Galp Energia, Cintra, AENA and Saeta Yield (ACS) are to be highlighted.
José holds a degree in Business Administration from ICADE and completed an Investment Banking Institute Program from Wharton University.
