Next, Jaime Caruana, former Governor of the Bank of Spain, shared his views on inflation and the current interest rate environment, pointing to a soft landing for the economy and a normalised interest rate and inflation scenario, not without certain risks, such as geopolitical, that need to be taken into account when investing.

Montserrat Vendrell, Partner at Aliath Bioventures, introduced Dr Roger Gomis, member of the IRB (Institute for Research in Biomedicine) and CSO of Inbiomotion, who spoke about impact investment in the fight against cancer.  This was followed by an overview of the activities of Aliath Bioventures, the health impact investment platform of AltamarCAM, led by its partners José María Fernández and Scott Moonly.

Miguel Zurita spoke again, together with Alexis von Dziembowski, Co-Head of Private Equity, to discuss the main private equity operations, analysing the latest trends in the sector and the rise of the secondary market as a solution to investors’ liquidity needs. Finally, Marcel Rafart, Partner at Galdana Ventures, analysed the venture capital industry and spoke about the scope and possibilities of artificial intelligence in our daily lives.  Marcel Rafart was assisted by his artificial intelligence avatar, created especially for the occasion, who shared some of his knowledge with the audience.
